The Bearded Villains were founded in Los Angeles, California, 2014 by Frederick Von Knox. It started as a single post on an Instagram page to showcase average men with beards, and now, in its 6th year, is the largest beard club in the world, with over 4,000 members in 165 chapters all around the world.
Bearded Villains Central England is just one of these chapters, and was formed in 2018 as Bearded Villains England, but later merged with the Midlands Chapter, to become the Central England Chapter, and as such, has roots as far back as 2015.
Following the Bearded Villains mission statement;
"To unite bearded men of all cultures, races, sexualities and creed, in a brotherhood devoted to loyalty, honor, and respect toward all peoples; dedicated to the betterment of mankind through fraternity, charity, and kindness,”
Bearded Villains Central England have held numerous fund raising events, helping to raise in excess of £15,000 for their partnered charity, Ronald McDonald House. This charity provide free accommodation for the parents of sick children who have to stay in hospital while undergoing long-term medical treatment. Alongside this, the chapter has also contributed to various other charities and events around the UK and Europe, as well as helping the homeless in their local areas by providing food, clothing, and bedding.
2024 is set to be a transformative year for the new look Central England Chapter, with a updated structure, and a renewed focus, all under the new leadership structure. As the chapter grows further, we work together as one to provide support for those in need. From its founding members, to its newest, everybody involved with the chapter is entirely commited to making it the best it can be.
